About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York. I have been providing therapy since 1994, beginning during my graduate years at the University of Rochester. I received my Ph.D. from the U of R in 2003, and in addition to practicing therapy I have taught a wide range of psychology courses at the university level, both graduate and undergraduate, as an adjunct professor.

I work from what can be called an integrative style of therapy; focusing on the dual goals of increasing insight and understanding and relieving crises and pain. Since every client is a unique individual with unique concerns, as you can imagine not every issue responds to just one approach. I am versed in many theoretical approaches to issues, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, family dynamic, and existential philosophies, and in my work with clients I draw from all of these perspectives and approaches to form a safe, comfortable, productive environment for growth and change.
